Typical signs
These signs point to an infestation. On the phone, we help you assess what you have found.
Holes in wool and silk
Clothes moths like animal hair, wool, cashmere and fur. Patchy areas with fine silken tubes give away the larvae.
Webbing in food supplies
Grains sticking together, fine threads in flour or larvae on the rim of a lid point to pantry moths.
Small moths in the room
If grey moths flutter around the kitchen or bedroom in the evening, the source is usually very close by.
Larvae on the ceiling and walls
Small, pale caterpillars crawling up the wall or ceiling are looking for a place to pupate.

Useful facts about moths
Clothes moths and pantry moths look similar but need a different approach. The moths themselves do not eat anything – the damage is done by their larvae: in wool jumpers and carpets, or in flour, nuts and dried fruit.
Clothes moths like dark, quiet spots and textiles that are rarely moved. Pantry moths spread from a single infested packet throughout the whole food cupboard.
Catching only the moths treats the symptom. The infestation only ends once the source has been found and treated. That is why every treatment with us begins with the search for the origin.

How it works
From your call onwards, we take over – step by step.
-
You call us
You describe where you see moths, larvae or damage. We clarify which moth it is likely to be.
-
Finding the source
The specialist checks wardrobes, supplies, carpets and upholstery and sets pheromone traps to narrow down the infestation.
-
Targeted treatment
Infested areas are treated in a targeted way. The traps can then be used to check whether any moths are still about.

Honest answers to the questions almost everyone asks. We are happy to clarify anything else in person.
What does it cost?
Our prices are transparent and fair. Give us a call – we will discuss your situation and the next steps.
Is it safe for children and pets?
In the kitchen, we rely on cleaning and traps rather than using products near food. Where treatment is needed, we tell you in advance what children and pets should avoid.
Will it stay discreet?
Yes. We arrive in neutral, unmarked vehicles and make sure your case is handled discreetly, so that outsiders notice nothing of the infestation.
How long does it take?
With pantry moths, the matter is often dealt with in one visit. Clothes moths usually need an inspection a few weeks later.

Questions about moths
Your question isn’t listed?
Ask us directly: 043 508 75 29
Where do pantry moths come from?
They are usually brought in with a packet you have bought, for example nuts, cereals or bird food. The larvae can also eat through thin film.
Do pheromone traps work on their own?
No. They only attract male moths and show whether and where moths are about. They do not reach the larvae at the source.
Do the moths themselves eat the holes?
No. Adult moths do not feed. The holes come from the larvae, which can digest wool, silk and fur.
Are moths a health hazard?
No. However, infested food is contaminated by droppings and webbing, and clothes moths can ruin expensive textiles.
