A female lays eggs again and again over several weeks, and the nymphs need a blood meal for each stage of development. In this way, a small infestation quietly keeps growing until the bites can no longer be overlooked.

Where do bed bugs come from?
They are usually brought in, for example in luggage after a trip or with second-hand furniture. An infestation has nothing to do with cleanliness.
Do bed bugs transmit diseases?
According to current knowledge, they do not transmit diseases. But the bites are very itchy, and the lack of sleep takes its toll. If you have strong skin reactions, ask your doctor.
Does it help to turn the heating right up?
No. Heating cannot reach the required temperature inside mattresses and cracks. Heat treatments need special equipment and temperature sensors.
Does the mattress have to go?
Usually not. Whether a piece of furniture or a mattress needs to be replaced is decided by the specialist during the inspection on site.
