Typical signs

These signs point to an infestation. On the phone, we help you assess what you have found.

  • Bites on ankles and calves

Fleas jump up from the floor. That is why the bites are usually on the legs, often several close together.

  • A scratching pet

Your dog or cat scratches a lot. In its coat there are dark specks that turn reddish on damp paper.

  • Jumping dots

Fleas are dark brown, flat from side to side and only two to three millimetres long. On a light floor you can see them jump.

  • Bites after coming home

After a holiday or a longer absence, lots of bites suddenly appear, because newly hatched fleas are waiting for vibrations.

Why you need a professional

  • The cause, not the symptom

Certified experts identify the pest and find out where the infestation is coming from. Only then is it really over.

  • Gentle methods

Methods and products are tailored to the flat, house or business – with consideration for children and pets.

  • Discreet and clean

We work unobtrusively and leave the rooms tidy. We discuss the appointment and the procedure with you alone.

Useful facts about fleas

Fleas usually come into the house with a dog or cat. Only the adult fleas live on the animal, though – eggs, larvae and pupae sit in rugs, upholstery and gaps.

The pupae can rest in their cocoons for weeks. Only warmth, vibrations or carbon dioxide make the fleas hatch, which is why they often appear in waves.

That is why the only thing that helps is an approach that covers your pet and your home at the same time. If there is no pet, the source is often wild animals in the cellar or loft. We look for the cause there as well.

How it works

From your call onwards, we take over – step by step.

  1. You call us

You tell us which rooms are affected and whether there are pets in the household. We discuss the approach and the appointment.

  2. On-site inspection

The specialist checks pet beds, rugs, upholstery and gaps where eggs and larvae collect.

  3. Treatment and repeat treatment

The affected areas are treated. Because pupae are protected against the products, a second treatment is often needed.

What you’ll want to know before calling

Honest answers to the questions almost everyone asks. We are happy to clarify anything else in person.

What does it cost?

Our prices are transparent and fair. Give us a call – we will discuss your situation and the next steps.

Is it safe for children and pets?

People and animals leave the home during treatment and only return once everything has dried. You will be told in advance how long that takes.

Will it stay discreet?

Yes. We arrive in neutral, unmarked vehicles and make sure your case is handled discreetly, so that outsiders notice nothing of the infestation.

How long does it take?

Expect two to three weeks until no more fleas hatch. If needed, a second treatment follows.

Questions about fleas

Your question isn’t listed?
Ask us directly: 043 508 75 29

Where do fleas come from if I have no pets?

They can come from martens, mice or pigeons nesting in the loft or cellar. In that case the nest has to go as well.

Is it enough to treat my pet?

No. Most fleas live as eggs, larvae or pupae in rugs and gaps. Your pet and your home need to be treated together.

Are flea bites dangerous?

Usually they just itch. If you have a strong skin reaction or inflammation, ask your doctor.

Why do I still see fleas after the treatment?

Fleas keep hatching from the pupae for a few more days. This is normal and tails off over time.
